Chin up...Count it All Joy!

"Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."

2 Corinthians 1:4

This world is in chaos. America and the world as we know it is forever changed. The atmosphere pulsates with anxiety, anger, sickness, and uncertainty... no one is exempt from the effects of the sliding moral and political pollution. Inflation, crime, and sin multiply as infectious diseases from a broken flask! Planet Earth reels with the effects of sin and groans for the coming of her Creator. This is indeed the beginning of sorrows and if we look to ourselves for solutions, we will be men and women most miserable.

Thank God for Christ Jesus! "Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God." We serve a compassionate and unselfish God. He has left a model and mold for us to pattern and fill. Even during our hardest times, we may be supremely happy if we become others-centered. A special hymn sings: Turn your eyes upon Jesus...look full in His wonderful face, and the things of this world will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace..."

Are you surrounded by many life challenges and you are overwhelmed because you don't

know how to solve them? "Count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;"

James 1:2. God is going to use your affliction to help you and others in your sphere rise in faith. Someone will have the opportunity to choose salvation based on how you and I cope with our hardships. Wow isn't that beautiful?!

God opened my eyes to this reality when my mother died from cancer. He made it even plainer when my brother was senselessly murdered; when my only child chose to walk away from God and my one true love turned sour. Talk about being overwhelmed! Talk about being taken by surprise! It was hard but I learned and I am learning to count it all joy when God allows new disruptions in my planned life. Once I focused on staying connected to Him, my experience became helpful in comforting others. It helped them too to see Christ and His continuous compassion despite Satan's fatally aimed darts. Why don't you adopt this same attitude so that you may bless others as God comforts and bless you? Count it all joy!

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

1 Corinthians 1:3,4.
